Full-time staff are dedicated to planning and organizing a wide variety of activities and events at Renaissance Gardens. Residents are exposed to new opportunities to grow, learn, and simply enjoy life. It’s nothing like your typical nursing home.
Plus, when you or your loved one comes to Renaissance Gardens you become a Greenspring resident. That means sharing in all of the on-campus amenities and programs, including the Fitness and Aquatics Centers, restaurants, and other activities.

Residents enjoy a variety of trips to off-campus places like the Potomac Theater and The Fish Market restaurant. But there’s always something happening at Renaissance Gardens too—such as happy hour, music concerts, and movie night.
There’s no shortage of fun and stimulating activities for large and small groups at Renaissance Gardens. Some popular games residents play include Nintendo Wii, trivia, crossword puzzles, Pictionary, word games, and blackjack.
Residents have opportunities to express their creative sides. Depending on individual interests, residents can choose jewelry-making, knit and stitch, ceramics, or pillow making. There are also cultural presentations, literature sessions, and drum circle.
No matter what their fitness level, residents may participate in a variety of exercises. From walking and aerobics, to light sports like volleyball and golf, there’s something for everyone. Wellness activities like hand massage, manicures, stretching for the mind and body, and pet visits encourage residents to feel good in both body and mind.
The clubs, groups, and classes at Renaissance Gardens are as diverse as the people who live here. Some prefer current events discussion while others chat over books. Some enjoy Drama Club activities, while others are interested in Resident Council or Falls Prevention classes.
When residents move to Renaissance Gardens they bring their religious and spiritual beliefs with them. Attend Catholic Mass, Jewish services, and other religious services right on campus. Residents also enjoy participating in hymn singing or Rosary.
