The community relations program for Renaissance Gardens in Erickson Communities involves a wide range of activities aimed at professionals and lay people in the greater community. These activities spotlight the many services offered by these on-site assisted living,* rehabilitation, and long-term nursing care centers.
Representatives from Erickson Communities regularly meet with physicians—especially orthopedists, cardiologists, and neurologists—as well as hospital social workers, discharge planners, and case managers. They visit other assisted living facilities and nursing homes to let managers know their residents can come to Renaissance Gardens for Short-Term Rehab or Long-Term Nursing Care without being a resident of an Erickson Community.
They meet with groups such as the Arthritis Foundation, the Parkinson's Foundation, and the Alzheimer’s Association to ensure we stay current with changing developments in health care.
Erickson Community Relations representatives also visit civic and church groups, and make presentations to large corporations and home health agencies. Among the topics they discuss for lay audiences: how Medicare Part A works and how consumers can benefit from it.
