Beyond the technical aspects of getting into Renaissance Gardens, people always ask questions about what it truly means to live here. Among the questions we hear most often:
Q: Do you have private residences at Renaissance Gardens?
Q: You have “24-hour visiting,” but do I need to call ahead?
Q: Do you require that people get up at a certain time?
Q: What do I do if there’s a problem? Who do I talk to?
Q: Renaissance Gardens residents have “full access to all the amenities of the community. What are they?"
Q: Is it quiet enough to sleep at night? Or are there always announcements on a public address system, and other noises?
Q: Do you have private residences at Renaissance Gardens?
A: Yes. All of our Assisted Living* residences are private. All nursing residences are private, except for a few semi-private residences at Renaissance Gardens at Charlestown in Catonsville, Maryland. You’ll find our rates for private residences are very competitive, in some cases as low as the rates other providers charge for semi-private rooms.
In our larger and private Assisted Living* residences, residents decorate with furnishings from their home. All Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Nursing Care rooms are beautifully decorated with window treatments and wallpaper borders.

Q: Renaissance Gardens residents have “full access to all the amenities of the community. What are they?"
A: The quality of the community has a bearing on the quality of care provided and the spirit of the people who provide it and receive it. Further, the families and friends of residents can take advantage of the community’s amenities such as the all-season Aquatics Center and restaurants to add convenience and enjoyment to their visits.

Q: Is it quiet enough to sleep at night? Or are there always announcements on a public address system, and other noises?
A: We recommend that you visit us to appreciate the quiet and the cleanliness we maintain. You’ll find that we have taken care to provide direct and private communications with residents, rather than using public address, and trained our staff to behave as if they were working in someone’s home—which they are.
