Q: Who pays for the care provided at Renaissance Gardens?
A: All people who come to Renaissance Gardens first undergo a financial review and pay a 100% refundable entrance deposit.** How they pay for our services depends primarily on the services provided:
For Assisted Living*, and for Alzheimer’s Care or Respite Care*** provided within Assisted Living*, the resident typically pays a monthly itemized bill out of pocket. Neither health insurance nor Medicare covers Assisted Living*.
For Short-Term Rehabilitation (physical, occupational, and speech-language therapies) ordered by a physician, Medicare typically provides coverage for up to 100 days per year, as long as the patient continues to comply with therapy and shows progress.
For Long-Term Nursing Care, and for Alzheimer’s Care or Respite Care*** provided with Long-Term Nursing Care, there are Long-Term Care insurance policies. There are many types of policies and we recommend that you consult a professional insurance agent for assistance. Medicare does not cover Long-Term Nursing Care.
